Cloud Advisory Framework

Cloud Readiness Assessment

Analyze infrastructure, security, backup, governance, and operations to determine the most appropriate cloud migration path for your organization. This assessment is not intended to block migration — it identifies the gaps, risks, and sequencing required before moving critical workloads.

Why This Assessment Matters

Most organizations can begin cloud adoption in some form, but poor preparation often leads to failed recovery, weak security controls, cost overrun, or production instability. The purpose of this assessment is to identify readiness gaps early so migration can be planned safely and realistically.

01. Identify Gaps

Highlights missing controls, undocumented dependencies, weak backup practices, unclear ownership, and governance issues before critical workloads are moved.

02. Reduce Risk

Helps reduce migration risk by surfacing weak areas in security, recovery, monitoring, and operational preparedness before execution begins.

03. Plan the Right Path

Determines whether the organization should begin with a pilot, a phased migration, or is ready for a broader production rollout.

Assessment Methodology

This assessment evaluates five key readiness domains independently so that localized risk is not hidden by a strong overall average. Some areas are treated as higher-risk signals because they directly affect migration safety, recovery capability, and operational control.

Domain-Based Scoring

Infrastructure, Security, Backup, Operations, and Governance are scored separately to reveal where remediation is actually needed.

Risk-Oriented Interpretation

Critical gaps such as no MFA, undefined RTO/RPO, or untested backups are treated as stronger warning signals even if the total score looks reasonable.

Migration Guidance

The result is not just a score. It also provides a recommended migration approach, meaning, and next step to guide customer decision-making.

Scoring model: Yes / Mature = 5, Partial / Inconsistent = 3, Weak / Minimal = 2, No / Undefined = 0

01. Infrastructure

Are core workloads currently virtualized and abstracted from physical hardware?
Is infrastructure performance, capacity, and utilization documented for recent periods?
Are application, database, and network dependencies clearly mapped?

02. Security & Compliance

Is MFA enforced for all administrative and privileged access?
Is there a centralized IAM, SSO, or access governance strategy in place?
Are regulatory, compliance, or data handling requirements clearly defined for cloud workloads?

03. Backup & Recovery

Is there a documented backup policy for critical workloads and data sets?
Are backup recovery tests performed regularly and validated successfully?
Are RTO and RPO targets formally defined for important workloads?

04. Operations & Monitoring

Are infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities centralized?
Is there a formal incident response or service recovery process for outages and failures?
Are patching, maintenance, and operational ownership consistently managed?

05. Governance & Cost

Is there a cloud governance model or landing zone standard already defined?
Are budgets, cost visibility, or spend control mechanisms already in place?
Are workload owners, business criticality, and accountability clearly defined?
